Final Project
Project 2 : Motion Poster
So first, we have to search what movie we want to make as a motion poster for this project, then we can start doing our final project. I have some movies that I want to make as my motion poster, but since we can only use pictures that we took, or create, then I decided to make some kind of vector art or flat illustration and a little bit of help by using animation tricks. So these are some of the kind of posters that I found quite interesting despite it's minimalistic.

But, then I remember the Who Am I No Systems is Safe Movie, which is cool and so I search some posters of it.

Reference 2
I chose who am I, because the mask makes it easier to make. with the computer stuff like matrix and some glitch effect might be enough. So I started tracing the mask for the poster.

Then I animate it in After Effects, as I'm trying to animate this poster, I also learned so much using adobe after effects because i've never used it in my entire life until now. So these are my progress making it.
First step
I make my background to black to make the matrix effects looks coller as it glows in it. So the first step of the motion is making the matrix. I make it from scratch, by giving the one letter to appear, change colours, opacity, and different letters.
Second step
After that I make it more than just one, and make them looks like in one group
Third Step
Then I make more of it, to make them look more "matrix"
Fourth step
I added the movie title to appear inside the matrix animation to make it looks connected to the matrix.
Fifth step
Then I added the trace of the mask that I made from the character inside the movie, I made it slowly appeared by scaling it bigger and add a glitch, displacement effect, and RGB split.
Sixth step
I also added the upper caption to make it looks balanced and have more colours.
Seventh step
For the closing, I think I'd just add a glitch effect and make all of those dissapear with it. But after showing it to the lecturer, he said that people would see the matrix effects is more like plagiarised from the matrix. So I changed it to blue, as it's what they used in the movie.
